About Us
Sarah’s journey began when she turned to thrift shopping as a means of saving money, and it quickly blossomed into a love for discovering one-of-a-kind and affordable treasures. Fueling her passion, she transformed it into a business venture by opening her first thrift shop in Kitimat, a quaint town in Northern BC. Through its meticulously curated selection of vintage and modern clothing, accessories, and home decor items, the shop garnered a devoted following.
As her business flourished, Sarah decided to expand her venture by opening a second shop in the larger community of Terrace, BC, followed by a third shop in Fort McMurray. While each shop has its distinct style and array of items, they all share a steadfast commitment to sustainability and ethical fashion.
What’s In Store Thrift Shops have become beloved destinations for thrift shoppers who appreciate the exceptional quality and affordable prices. Not only do these shops provide a satisfying shopping experience, but they also empower and educate customers and employees alike to make a positive impact on the environment and society. By offering these communities an alternative to fast fashion through sustainable fashion choices and promoting eco-friendly lifestyles, What’s In Store Thrift Shops distinguish themselves.
Running three thrift shops poses its challenges, but Sarah’s unwavering passion and dedication to making a difference in these communities keep her focused. She remains committed to hiring local employees, sourcing items locally, and supporting other small businesses. Moreover, she continually seeks ways to enhance her shops and give back to each community she serves.
The What’s In Store Thrift chain stands as a testament to the power of entrepreneurship and the profound impact one individual can have. So, when you find yourself in Kitimat, Terrace, or Fort McMurray, be sure to visit one of Sarah’s shops and support a local business owner who is making a positive difference.
